1. Who We Are

Natural Thyroid Care is a functional health coaching practice operated by Dr. Jeff Smith, providing nationwide remote coaching consultations focused on thyroid wellness, adrenal wellness, and related lifestyle topics.

We are a health coaching practice, not a medical practice. Coaching consultations are conducted remotely and are educational and advisory in nature.

2. Coaching, Not Medical Advice

Everything on this website (including blog posts, social media content, downloadable resources, and educational material) and everything shared during a coaching consultation is health coaching only. Nothing on this site or in our communications constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a prescription, at any point, including during paid coaching sessions.

Booking a coaching consultation establishes a coach-client relationship. It does not establish a doctor-patient relationship and does not create any medical care duty. Reading our content does not create any professional relationship with us.

Always consult a licensed medical provider before starting, stopping, or changing any medication, supplement, diet, or treatment plan. Health coaching is not a substitute for medical care.

3. Coaching Deposit and Payment

Deposit amount and purpose

The initial coaching consultation requires a $39 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. This deposit reserves your appointment slot and is applied to the cost of your coaching consultation if you attend.

Cancellation and reschedule policy

The $39 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance. If you cancel, reschedule, or fail to attend your scheduled appointment, the deposit is forfeited and cannot be returned or transferred to another appointment. To book a new coaching consultation after a missed appointment, a new deposit is required.

Additional services

The $39 deposit covers the initial coaching consultation only. Follow-up coaching sessions, Report of Findings calls, and any recommended supplements or services are billed separately and disclosed at the time they are offered. You are never charged for additional services without your explicit consent.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your full payment card information. Refunds, when due, are returned via the original payment method and typically post within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

4. Remote Coaching Disclaimer

Coaching consultations are conducted entirely remotely, by video or phone. By booking a coaching consultation you acknowledge and agree that:

• You will not receive a hands-on physical examination of any kind
• Coaching is not appropriate for diagnosing or treating any medical condition, and you may be encouraged to consult a licensed medical provider when appropriate
• The remote modality has technical limitations (audio/video quality, connectivity issues) that may affect the session
• You are responsible for ensuring you have a private, reliable internet or phone connection at the time of your appointment

Emergencies: Health coaching is not appropriate for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

5. Scheduling and Communications

By booking a coaching consultation and providing your contact information, you authorize Natural Thyroid Care to contact you regarding your appointment, including:

• Booking confirmations
• Appointment reminders (typically 24 hours and 1 hour before your scheduled time)
• Follow-up communications related to your coaching engagement
• Optional marketing or educational emails (only if you have separately consented)

SMS messages are sent only if you have provided explicit SMS consent. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Standard message and data rates may apply.

6. Your Responsibilities

By using our services you agree that you will:

• Provide accurate and complete information on the lead form and intake form
• Disclose all current medications, supplements, and relevant health history truthfully so your coach can give well-informed coaching
• Continue working with your licensed medical provider for all diagnosis, treatment, and medication management
• Not use our services in place of emergency medical care
• Not share login credentials, booking links, or session access with third parties
• Treat Dr. Smith and any staff with respect during coaching sessions

We reserve the right to decline service or terminate the coaching relationship if these expectations are not met. In such cases, refunds are at our discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on naturalthyroidcare.org (including text, images, logos, blog posts, downloadable resources, and the Natural Thyroid Care brand) is owned by Dr. Jeff Smith or licensed for our use, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

You may share links to our content and use short quotations for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of any information, coaching guidance, or service.

Results from coaching are individual and cannot be guaranteed. Outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control, including your adherence to coaching recommendations, your underlying health status, and your individual physiology. Nothing in our coaching is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Natural Thyroid Care, Dr. Jeff Smith, and any affiliated parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this website or our coaching services. Our total liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to active coaching clients by email. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
